Just what you come to my blog for right? This was on the side of the road and since I like sailing, I stopped and called. Turns out this is a Phillip Rhodes designed boat. Check the plate. It’s hull number 1 built in 1957. The current owner bought it at an estate sail for $1000 on a whim 15 years ago before realizing what he had. He wanted $4,000 for it now or best offer. Apparently he got lots of calls on it. I guess I would have called Cape Code Shipbuilding and ask if they wanted their #1 boat back. They are still in business on the east coast, founded 1899.
