If you knew me in high school, the movie “Tucker, The Man and His Dreams”, quickly became “Groosh, A Man and His Dreams.” I envied the ability to go out and start your own car company while I cursed the big three and government who brought him down. After the movie came out, Tuckers were trading for $50,000 as I shopped them in the papers. Now they trade in the millions.
Who knows, the one I saw for sale may have belonged to John Tucker, the grandson having this living estate auction in two weeks around the corner from my home in Dexter. Truth be told, I’m meeting Brian Braun of the auction company putting on this event tomorrow. I’m exploring auctioning off a good deal of my car collection to fund my “keepers.” Soooo, no. My 911 will not be for sale.
The Tucker pieces pictured are fiberglass body panels used in the movie.
