December 16, 2011 – After no takers, this car was relisted and only bid to $13,600 which failed to make the reserve.
November 25, 2011 – Here is one that I would happily pull the trigger on for this price. Great color combo, long wheel base, last year of the 912, factory sunroof, rust repaired, headrest sport seats. It’s not original paint but at this age that’s ok with me. The stereo is not stock, either are the Weber carburetors and the engine had the a 16-year-old makeover. Black spray paint everywhere. But a boy has got to have projects.
On eBay for $19,500 Buy it Now in Pasadena, California.
“1969 Porsche 912 with Original Factory Sunroof. Very rare car. Great color combo, Silver with Red interior. Matching numbers. Original seats and door panels in great shape with new carpet, back deck, and headliner. Small crack in dash next to speaker box. All guages work except clock. Odometer reads 17408 miles. New front and rear floor pans. Engine just got a full service and replaced Trans mount, volt regulator, alternator pullys, oil filter, oil lines, shift coupler, shift linkage, gear shift lever ball socket, alternator v belt, valve cover gasket, spark plugs, fuel hose, ignition wire set, front windshield and seals, rear window seal. Repainted front and rear bumpers and replaced with new bumper decos and seals.5 speed transmission with dual weber carbs. Runs great. Very fun to drive.
Treated (2) small rust spots beneath right and left side of front windshield and small paint bubble next to rear window.
Drive with pride and turn heads….Clean title in hand. I am representing this vehicle to the best of my knowledge. All the work has been done by an extremely reputable Porsche mechanic and restorer. Have all recent receipts… “
