“This is a 1 of 25 1997 URS6 that has been imported into the US from Canada. 165,000 miles but if you know anything about these cars with the right care they will never show their age. This is a feeler I’m putting out only because I could use the money around the house. This cars is in great shape (my baby) and I told myself I would never sell this car because of its rarity in the Audi community on the US. I have over 13 years of paper history of every bolt and part has been installed or replaced on the car. The original owner was a die hard URS guy (as am I, I love these cars). He used to live in Clarkston MI and he imported this car from Canada from Port Huron. These cars were a lot of money in 1997 ($58,000) which is part of the reason Audi USA didn’t import any for 1997. In 1997 this car was ahead of the curve on luxury in that these had options I didn’t even knew existed at that time. Auto up/down all windows, heated front and rear seats, 6 speaker bose with 6 disc cd in the trunk, full under body coating along with dual galvanizing of its metal, and since this was a car that big business man drove a sat phone in the arm rest! The car was a 2.2l inline 5 turbocharged engine derived from the RS2 of the time which was engineered by Porsche (very strong engine, fully forged, some on the forum have over 500,000 miles on just a head gasket replace). Back to the car I wash and wax it all the time along with leather protection. If you where to look at this car you would never guess it had more then 60k miles on it. These cars are very rare to begin with and at this mileage and how well it was been taken care off and with it being a 1997 and in perfect running condition, starting at 6k seems about right. For some reason these cars have had a surge in value over the past 6 months, I’m thinking awareness of these cars coming out. Anyway I would love to sell this to a Audi person that know and can take care of the car as well as I have but I’m willing to give knowledge to someone as well. Thanks for looking”
