“1996 Porsche 911 twin turbo (993) 38,600 miles. Polar silver with light grey interior.
Michelin pilot sport tires, Xenon highbeams, Executive carbon fiber interior panels. Originally a Florida car, only 2 owners, never winter driven.

All work done by Zuffenhausen certified Porsche mechanic and team.
New: front tires, brakes, A/C condenser, windshield washer (2009). Body touch up (2009), refreshed transmission and synchro’s (2009).
Upgrades: Bilstein PS9 adjustable suspension kit, body lowered, 2 piece front rotors, both turbos rebuilt and re-veined with better blade angles, GT2 transmission clutch, GT3 rear differential clutch plates +springs. All new silicone hoses.

Included: 3 keys and remotes, built in valentine, Alpine 6 CD player, custom bra and mirror guards, grey car cover, all invoices with mechanic.  $70,000 negotiable.”

All I’ve been doing is reading Porsches crossing the blocks at staggering prices.  Clean, original (or highly restored), well documented examples are fetching festive francs faster than fido.  This car in my mind isn’t one of them with the upgrades despite never being able to see most of them.

It’s priced on the high end and I have my reservations about “body touch up”.  Maybe I’m too picky but give me an old guy that hasn’t changed a thing except his ability to get in and out of the car, and now is finally ready to sell.

Thanks to reader Kevin for this submission on Saginaw Craigslist, Michigan.

They probably anticipate people like me picking it up and blogging about it.

For 70K, I think I would pass even if I had the money. Though I love the 993 body, I think that price is a little high for the market. You can buy a slighty used 2007-2008 911 Turbo S for that kind of money. I understand that the air-cooled Porsche’s are becoming collectable and more desirable with age. But in this area, 70k will buy you a decent house! Nice car though!
