ORIGINAL POST October 17, 2013: I can see how these were appealing and probably still are to some. The profile is incredibly sexy but it loses flow when you come around back to the chunky rectangle taillights. The straight pipes, wheels and interior are pretty sharp.
On eBay in El Cajon, California for $29,900 Buy it Now which is probably $10K higher than the excellent value quoted on Price Tracker.
Just to give you a sense of what type of Marcos buyer/owners are out there, check out the commentary from the other Marcos on eBay right now, going off at no reserve.

“1970 Marcos GT 3.0L V6
This is an original 1970 Marcos 3.0L V6 GT in excellent condition. I bought the car in the UK several years ago from the team that used to work at the factory (Redline Sportscars, in the UK). Prior to delivery it was reconditioned by Marcos Heritage the true experts for these cars. It runs smoothly and I drove it only a few hundred miles since purchase (it was more of a show car). As far as I know everything works (apart from the radio antenna which is not connected). Also, I have a folder with many past records on the car. Here is a brief summary about this beauty:
GENERAL: it is a steel frame car built in the factory – NO rust NO collision repair. Mileage is 81K and according to Redline Sports Cars – it is the original miles.
ENGINE: it is the factory Essex V6, as it left the factory. Starts, and drives smoothly and it has synthetic oil in it. It is likely that it was rebuilt before I bought it. The car has the 4 speed tranny + overdrive on top gears. Overdrive works well.
BODY: I think the leather interior was redone because it looks like new. Carpets look like new, too. I’d say the paint is close to perfect, but it has some cracks because of the flexible fiberglass construction. These flaws are not really visible if you not searching for them.
In summary, if you want a piece of art and history, then this is it. Not too many of these cars show up and even if they do – not in this condition. Finally, this is a 43 year old car and sold ‘as is’ (you are welcome to inspect it at my home).”
