I do a lot of local searches and this one popped up on eBay within 150 miles from me, so clearly it’s something I would consider buying since I can simply swing down and pick it up.
On eBay for the price of a small house in Peninsula, Ohio – $112,900.
“DODGE VIPER SRT-10 ACR-X RACE CAR (VIN: ACRX036 – NOTE THAT VIN NUMBER SHOWN IN THE E-BAY LISTING IS FOR MY 2009 ACR. E-BAY REQUIRES A 17-DIGIT VIN FOR AD PLACEMENT. THE ACR-X ONLY HAS 7 DIGITS AS IT IS NOT STREET-LEGAL)
ACRX036 was purchased as part of an extensive collection of factory race cars and exotics and has never been raced. There are only 1019 total miles logged on ACRX036. The mileage includes both street miles (approximately 310) for the break-in period with the remaining miles (709) were used during on-track exhibition and open track-days. All fluids were changed after every 250 miles logged, and the car has recently been freshly serviced with all new fluids, brake pads and with freshly shod spec Michelin slick race tires that have been used only one track day.
Many ACR-X race cars were delivered in primer. This car was painted by the factory before delivery in the famous GTS Blue metallic color with white fang stripes. As pictured the car currently has the Viper Cup livery stickers (all of which are easily removed). The original MSRP and price paid was $124,000 with an additional $4,000 spent to upgrade the suspension for easy and more flexible alignments, new race tires, brake pads and set-up/corner balancing. The race car is being offered in its original “as-delivered” configuration in the Viper Cup specifications with no modifications or changes made other than the addition of a set of OMP HANS compatible harnesses (valued at $400), and a hard-wired battery quick disconnect for the to provide auxiliary power or jump-starts if required. The paint has been protected since new with Invictashield system clear film installed on the front bumper, canards, hood, and fender splash areas. The car’s finish is “as-new” with the film and low time.
This ACR-X is perhaps one of the few, if not the only “ACR-X” being sold today that is completely original, has never raced, has never been damaged, and has never experienced any mechanical failures or problems in any way. This race car is truly “collector-quality”.
Please note that this car is NOT STREET LEGAL. It is a purpose-build factory race car and is being sold with a notarized Bill-of-Sale. It does not include a state-issued title and cannot be legally registered for street use in the U.S. or Canada.
