These are a blast from my past. I drove a white GLHS the tail end of my senior year of high school. Like for two weeks. It was my dad’s car. The front, middle and most of the end of my senior year I was grounded from driving after wrecking my dad’s Dodge Lancer Turbo in a fast corner. That’s what I get for trying to impress Greg and Rich. I took the corner heading west on Long Lake Road from Franklin too fast and found the curb which dragged the front wheel and axle backwards. In my defense coming up Lone Pine to the north, right hand corner of Franklin was successfully fast. The Long Lake transition was a negative camber curve taken at the same speed but with substantially less grip. L-I-V-I-N and learning at that point. To my friend at the end of the court who let me use his phone to call home after crashing his dad’s car, thank you,
The black car here has had the same owner since ’89, never driven in snow and has only 68,000 miles.
For sale on Detroit’s Craigslist.

My memory doesn’t involve a body trembling call to a parent, but I do remember doing one of my first Burnouts with one off these.
Just look at the shit interior of this thing, you can tell, in the 80’s, the engine guys had all the fun, and the interior people were too busy smoking pot to care about design…
