This guy wasn’t kidding about it being clean and rust free. Look at that engine bay. This is a nice color combination and reasonable price too.
Find it for sale on Detroit’s Craigslist.
“Very clean CJ7 Jeep from North Carolina. Last year of the CJ’s. Starts easy and runs smooth. Never seen snow or salt (or even rain since I’ve owned it). No rust or rust repair – chassis bolts turn by hand once loosened ! No rust damage on the frame – very solid. 4.0L straight 6 with the 5 speed manual trans. Power steering and brakes with front disc. No oil leaks from the engine. Slow drip from the transfer case but it works fine. New clutch, distributor, exhaust, all new brake parts except hard lines which are rust free, suspension solid, steering is tight, 4″ BlackMax lift kit with 35″ tires and alum wheels. Could use new carpet. Gray metallic paint is shiny except ina few spots. Drives nice and straight and doesn’t feel tippy in the turns. Dana44 rear axle. Engine bay fully detailed, dash repainted and rebuilt, new seats, soft top (not installed) and half doors. Mesh bikini top. Tons of new parts installed. Have more pictures showing underneath if you want them. I’m in no hurry to sell and would be interested in trading for a similar condition Ford100 truck, 1967-1972. I have 3 large boxes of new parts yet to be installed if you match the asking price.”
