This just popped up and I thought it was an interesting opportunity. Needs regular maintenance like belts and water pump. Looks like it had a repaint and the odometer is broken, so it’s not the best starting point for collector quality but could be a fun driver.

“I have a 86 944 (951) turbo for sale. Originally from Texas, then went to Florida. Zero rust. Runs well, looks nice. I bought this car to do minor cosmetics, mechanical maintenence, enjoy it and watch its value go up. It has great potential but really should have baseline maintenance- I have a new german water pump to go with it, I was beginning to round up parts to do the timing belt, rollers, water pump deal because I don’t have definite record of when it was last done and don’t care to risk it. It does have an oil leak somewhere, have not looked into it, but it will leave a spot on the floor. I put Boxster turbo twist wheels on that are custom powder coated with new Cooper 18’s. It has a larger turbo and 3″ exhaust as well. I hate to sell this, as I really think it would be a great car, but I have another project that is taking all my time. It is definitely a car that can be used as you do the regular maintenance these cars need, but like pretty much all 944’s it needs items addressed. Mileage is 86,000 on the odometer but it is non operational.”
