The cars I love finding on Hemmings Motor News are the old man postings that happen along every so often. Some gentleman winding down in retirement, doesn’t drive his car much anymore because it’s too hard to get in and out and at this point doesn’t really care about market value, he just wants a fair price and a clean deal.
Why do I think I can spot the old man? The pictures are tiny from scanning old photographs or “technology problems” meant no pictures at all. In the case of this MGA coupe, the pictures are really small but surprisingly stylized. Plus the price here for a really clean great running coupe seems, well, fair.
“1957 MG Coupe, 1500cc engine, runs smoothly with easy shifting. Garage kept, body in great condition. New tires, radiator, generator, master cylinder and rebuilt carburators.”
On Hemmings in New Jersey for $12,500.
