September 2, 2011 – The owner of this bike is selling off part of his collection. His 1936 Terrot failed to make his reserve and stalled at $4,550. I was hoping the Terrot might give a glimpse into his reserve for this Adler but now I have no idea where to place the value. He has a second green Alder M250 from 1953 also on the blocks. Both are beautifully restored with basically no miles.
“1954 Adler M2011 single cylinder. Restored by factory worker that owns a museum in Chicago. Has been completely restored from the frame up and pickeled for long term storage. Has been in my mini-museum for several years. Bike is in showroom condition and is accurate in every detail. Bike was built in the Frankfurt Germany factory and is a hybrid, limited edition between the M & MB models. This is an excellent example. The mileage is 60 miles after restoration, was reset at the time.”
On eBay in New Hampshire with a reserve and starting bid of $2,000.
