“1942 Running WELBIKE. very rare British paratroopers folding motorcycle used when dropped with paratrooper to advance aprox. 40 miles before being discarded. It is a Mark 2 series…chassis contract # 294/33/s.1946. Frame # 2821. The rear tire is the original Dunlop, the front tire has been changed. The gas tank is NOT original but reproductions are available. The rear fender is missing. All cables and controls are in working condition. The clutch and the foot brake both work great. This is a welbike that is in good running condition that I have used as my pit bike at the race track. The seat and handle grips are also original. This is an amazing piece of World War 2 history. There are 2 bikes currently on display in museums. One in the Normandy D-Day museum and one on loan in the CIA museum. If you missed out earlier this month (e-bay item #140599844663), on the only other one I have seen for sale….you don’t want to lose out on this running one. How many more do you think are left???????”
