They had me at “It was designed to be big enough for two people to sleep in…”
“This is an original 1936 Mullins steel bodied trailer with the pop up top. This trailer is all original except for the taillights. The metal is in excellant condition, with minor dings and virtually no rust or rot. The floor which is the first place to rust out is MINT. Tires are holding air but can’t make any promises on reliability of them. My research shows these trailers were built in 1936 only and are very desirable by antique car owners to tow behind their cars and also by “hot rodders” to do the same thing. The body of the trailer is about 6 feet long and 4 feet wide. It was designed to be big enough for two people to sleep in and some had the optional accessory canvas sides for privacy. I do not have the canvas sides. The tailgate swings down for ease of loading. It has the original hitch and the ball to fit. It still has the “kickstand” front support leg. Stored indoors for years. The serial number is 2183. A restored Mullins sold at Barrett-Jackson auction 4 years ago for $12,500. It won’t take a lot of money to restore this to new condition.”
